Abstract
18 of 30 unselected adequately controlled diabetics were found to have elevated values for serum cholesterol, cholesterol esters and lipid P when compared with 100 normal subjects. After 8 weeks on inositol, an avg. drop of 50 mg.% in serum cholesterol had occurred, and all 30 had values within the normal range. Keywords
