Abstract
I. Vit. A deficiency does not increase the sensitivity of the castrate rat vagina to administered estrogens. Excess vit. A does not inhibit the response of the vagina to administered estrogens in the castrate nor the response to endogenous estrogens in the normal rat.[long dash]II. Vit. A deficiency accompanied by cornifica-tion of the vaginal epithelium inhibits the mucifying action of testosterone propionate on the epithelium in the castrate rat. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
