High energy (He3,dproton stripping byAl27andSi28nuclei: Transitions to excited states

Abstract
Angular distributions for the Al27(He3, d)Si*28 and Si28(He3, d)P*29 reactions have been measured at EHe3=130 MeV) in the angular range of 9°θc.m.40°. In the proton-unbound excitation energy region, four prominent peaks (Ex=11.61, 12.67, 13.26, and 14.33 MeV) from the Al27(He3, d)Si28 reaction and three peaks (Ex=6.59, 8.08, and 10.17 MeV) from the Si28(He3, d)P29 reaction, are reported and analyzed for the first time. The data have been analyzed in terms of the DWBA theory, using optical model and other relevant parameters determined in a previous paper on the ground state transitions. In general, satisfactory fits to the experimental angular distributions are obtained. Spectroscopic information has been extracted and compared with the results available in the literature.
