Abstract
A QCD analysis of recent CERN ISR preliminary data on large- photon plus opposite-side jet events is presented. Higher-order corrections (K factors) are taken into account. The photon bremsstrahlung contribution is determined and discussed. Some extensively used sets of parton distributions (mainly characterized by different gluon distributions) are compared in detail with the data, and conclusions as to the preferred gluon distribution are deduced.
