Gamma Rays from Lithium Bombardment ofBe9,B10,B11, andC12

Relative intensities of gamma rays produced in the bombardment of ${\mathrm{Be}}^9$, ${\mathrm{B}}^{10}$, ${\mathrm{B}}^{11}$, and ${\mathrm{C}}^{12}$ targets by ${\mathrm{Li}}^6$ and ${\mathrm{Li}}^7$ beams have been obtained with a three-crystal pair spectrometer and with a single NaI(Tl) crystal. Gamma rays have been observed from excited states in the residual nuclei ${\mathrm{Li}}^7$, ${\mathrm{Be}}^{10}$, ${\mathrm{B}}^{10}$, ${\mathrm{B}}^{11}$, ${\mathrm{B}}^{12}$, ${\mathrm{C}}^{12}$, ${\mathrm{C}}^{13}$, ${\mathrm{C}}^{14}$, ${\mathrm{N}}^{14}$, ${\mathrm{N}}^{15}$, ${\mathrm{O}}^{15}$, ${\mathrm{O}}^{16}$, and ${\mathrm{O}}^{17}$. Some of these gamma rays have not been observed previously. Relative populations deduced from the data are discussed.
