Abstract
In the vegetative nucleus the chromatin is dispersed uniformly throughout. No endosome is present. Mitosis in A. dubia is similar to that of A. proteus except that the nuclear membrane remains intact during the entire process in A. dubia. In addition to the dividing chromatin, larger achromatic bodies occur during mitosis. These are most prominent in the early phases and gradually disappear during reconstruction. In early stages of reconstruction of the nucleus the chromatin granules are minute and these gradually increase in size. Differences in the process of mitosis in A. dubia from that in A. proteus indicate a marked species difference between these 2 organisms. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
