Abstract
In mice, given intraperitoneal injections of orotic acid-5-3H, two peaks of incorporation of radioactivity at 30 min and 6 h occurred in the RNA of kidney and of liver and its subcellular components. The concurrent administration of salicylate, in doses of 200 mg/kg body weight and above, significantly inhibited the incorporation of the labelled orotic acid at 30 min but not at 6 h.Keywords
