Abstract
A technique is described for the demonstration of human complement by an immunoflourescent method. The component detected is [beta]lC -globulin, a subcomponent of the 3 complement component, which was previously obtained in pure form and to which a specific antiserum was prepared. Applying this method to the study of pathological human tissues, it was found that in-vivo complement binding occurs in the lesion of several human diseases, particularly in lupus erythematosus, various nephritides and amyloidosis. Keywords
