Abstract
A description is given of a distinctive dermatophyte, identified as a variety of Trichophyton rubrum, which was isolated from lesions on the back of a Fijian. As well as having unusual pigment producing and microscopic properties, the isolate displayed a nutritional requirement for nicotinic acid. Keywords
