Abstract
Chromatography with a solid‐phase polyelectrolyte based on ethylene maleic anhydride polyelectrolyte (EMA PE) has been shown to remove a large proportion of hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg), including hepatitis B virus (HBV) particles, from contaminated cryoprecipitate. This process may reduce the risk of transmission of HBV infection when factor VIII concentrates are administered. Keywords
