Abstract
The concept of iterated integral‐transform trial functions is introduced. Its formal correspondence with the iterative solution of integral equations is established. Extensions and generalizations are indicated, and some of the advantages of the approach are discussed. Ways are suggested to make tractable the multidimensional integrals that arise in the method. Keywords
