Abstract
The problem of predicting the decay rate in terms of the mass difference is discussed in the framework of a renormalizable SU(3) model. Order-of-magnitude agreement for the process is finally achieved. In addition, some connections with unified weak-electromagnetic gauge schemes are explored.
