Conduction velocity of peripheral nerves in children with phenylketonuria

Abstract
Motor conduction velocities of the ulnar, median, and peroneal nerves and sensory "conduction velocities" of the median nerve in the hand were determined in 12 phenyl-ketonuric children. All except one value were within normal limits, and no severe damage to the myelin sheath of the peripheral nerve fibers had occurred in these patients.
