Abstract
Data are presented on the total S content of common feeds used in concentrate mixtures for dairy cows. No advantage in lactation was observed when S was added to a concentrate mixture containing 30% of its crude protein in the form of urea. More complete information is needed on the S content of common feeds, and the S requirement of ruminants before recommendations can be made on the addition of S to dairy feeds. Keywords
