Abstract
The presence of Zn in purified preps, of uricase was confirmed. Such preps, also contained Fe and the purest samples obtained contained 0.09% Zn and 0.2% Fe. Uricase was partially inhibited after a latent period by KCNS but not by CO even in high concs. The effects of other inhibitors and activators were reported and the results discussed in relation to the heavy metal content of the enzyme. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
