Abstract
This review takes up methods of analyzing bile and blood for bile acids, resorption of the bile acids from the intestine, their reexcretion, the balance of loss against endogenous production, their fate when administered intraven. and by mouth, their conjugation with amino acids under normal, clinical, and artificial conditions, diurnal variations in their secretion, and the relation of these facts to liver disease. This publication has 15 references indexed in Scilit:
