Abstract

Concurrent with our search for the decays

K_{L}^{0}

→μe and

K_{L}^{0}

→ee, we have observed 87

K_{L}^{0}

→μμ events. Normalizing this sample to the simultaneous observation of the decay

K_{L}^{0}

→

π^{+}

π^{-}

, we obtain the branching ratio B(

K_{L}^{0}

→μμ) =[5.8±0.6(stat)±0.4 (syst)] ×

10^{- 9}
