Abstract
When rats have been ren dered rachitic by a diet of the high Ca-low P type the healing produced by increasing the mineral P content of the diet and at the same time giving a dose of vitamin D was greater than either would be capable of producingalone. The dietary influence in respect of an increased mineral P content can be better expressed as a factor multiplying the effect of any given dose of vitamin D than as equivalent to increasing the apparent dose of vitamin by a constant addition. A method for calculating the influence of one diet with respect to another has been worked out for the radiographic technique and curative test. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
