Abstract
Cytochemical localization of cAMP phosphodiesterase in the mouse lung demonstrated enzyme activity in alveolar epithelial cells (type 1 and type 2) and in vascular endothelium. This activity could be blocked by the inclusion of the potent phosphodiesterase inhibitor, isobutylmethylxanthine, in the assay incubation.
