Abstract
A patient who twice developed virilization during pregnancy was studied. She excreted excessive amounts of 17-ketosteroids (280 mg in a 24-hour urine-speci-men) ante partum which returned to normal levels during the post partum period. Urinary pregnanediol, estrogen and gonado-tropic substances were normal. At operation both ovaries were found to contain numerous nodules which consisted of hyperplas-tic lutein cells. Keywords
