Papierchromatographische Trennung von Phosphatiden

Abstract
Lecithin, ethanolamine-cephalin and serine-cephalin are separated by a paper chromatographic method, using 1st acetone-methanol (4:1) and then water-saturated phenol as developing solvents (in the same direction). The various lipids are identified by color reactions (for amino-groups, phosphate, choline, and acetal). The method was used to demonstrate serine-containing acetal phosphatides in brain, and the presence of an acetal-containing fraction in beef heart lecithin.
