Abstract
When doses in excess of 5 [mu]g/100 g/day of either triiodothyronine or thyroxine were given to rats, only slight differences were observed in the capacity of the drugs to reduce the size of goiters induced by pre-treatment with perchlorate. Triiodothyronine administered at 1 [mu]g/100 g/day caused a selective regression of perchlorate-induced goiter without raising the lowered metabolism. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
