Abstract
The effects of CCl4 on protein and lipoprotein secretion, and on lipid peroxidation, was investigated in isolated rat hepatocytes. Although the free-radical scavenger promethazine completely suppressed the increased peroxidation produced by CCl4, it had no effect on the inhibitory action of CCl4 on lipoprotein secretion. The latter effect of CCl4 apparently is not mediated through a peroxidative stage. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
