Abstract
Potentials with both local and nonlocal parts have been found which reproduce the experimental 1S0 p-p phase shifts to a high degree of accuracy and which give values for the neutron-neutron scattering length ann between -17.1 fm and -16.1 fm. Furthermore, the knoll on the local potential is greatly affected by the strength of the nonlocal term and almost completely disappears when ann is equal to -16.1 fm.Keywords
