Abstract
The exact resonant-tunneling transmission probability for an electron interacting with phonons is presented in the limit that the elastic coupling to the leads is independent of energy. The phonons produce transmission sidebands but do not affect the integrated transmission probability or the escape rate of the electron from the resonant site. In the Appendixes, we evaluate the Green function that appears in the expression for the transmission probability. Keywords
