Abstract
Incubation of guanosine 2[image],3[image]-cyclic phosphate with RNase T1 at pH 7.0, 4[degree]C, for a week yielded guanylic acidpolymers, which could be separated by DEAE-cellulose column chromatography to 7 fractions with average polymerization number of 1, 2, 3, 4.6, 6.7, 9.4 and 12.5. Hypochromicity determined spectrophotometrically at 260 m[mu] parallelled with polymerization degree up to 4-5. The absorption maximum in ultraviolet range shifted by 2-3 m[mu] towards longer wavelength with higher polymers. Keywords
