Abstract
Intravenous administration of sodium tolbutamide causes an increase in plasma insulin concentration in the male rhesus monkey. With doses in the 50-125 mg/kg range, peak elevations of insulin were found by radioimmunoassay 20 min. after the infusion. Tolbutamide caused a decrease in plasma glucose concentration, and an increase of plasma corticosteroids. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
