Abstract
Five experiments were conducted in an attempt to determine the effect of amino acid supplementation on the growth retardation effect of raw soybean meal in chicks. Amino acid mixtures varying from 4 to 14 amino acids, when added to raw soybean meal diets, failed to overcome completely the growth depression, pancreatic hypertrophy, and low feed utilization in chicks. The depression in chick growth does not appear to be a function of reduced food consumption by chicks on raw soybean diets. Keywords
