Abstract
Using both 99mTc methylene diphosphonate [MDP] and 67Ga citrate, images of the lower extremities in New Zealand white rabbits were obtained on sequential days after inoculation of tibias with Staphylococcus aureus. 67Ga scintigraphy was positive earlier in the course of infection than 99mTc MDP scintigraphy. In addition to 4-h 67Ga scintigrams, 24- and 48-h scintigrams were obtained, contributing substantially to interpretation. However, 72-h 67Ga scintigrams contributed little additional information. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
