Abstract
In 30,279 adult sera, most received from Finistere, 334 monoclonal gammapathies were detected. Monoclonal gammapathies appear more frequently in this district (Finistere) than in Paris. Two areas seem to be more particularly affected: 1 in the northeast where IgG paraproteins are particularly frequent and the other in the southwest, where IgM paraproteins predominate. Although the role of genetic tendency was suggested by the discovery of numerous cases of monoclonal gammapathies occurring in families and the high rate occurring in half-brothers and -sisters, case study of 3 couples favored an environmental stimulus. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
