(t,3He) reactions onFe56,Fe58, andNi58

Abstract
The 56,58Fe and the Ni58(t,3He) reactions have been studied at Et=25 MeV. Differential cross sections have been measured in the angular range θlab=5.5°50°. The angular distributions have been compared with coupled-channels calculations and it is shown that Jπ assignments can be made to a large number of states in 56,58Mn and in Co58. This is the first comprehensive report of the use of the (t,3He) reaction as a tool for determining such Jπ assignments.
