Abstract
The apoE [apolipoprotein E] polymorphism was studied by 2-dimensional gel electrophoresis in serum samples from 62 male subjects with multifactorial hypercholesterolemia and from 63 normal subjects. The apoE-4 isoform was significantly more frequent (P < 0.02) among the hypercholesterolemic subjects than among the normocholesterolemic controls. Keywords
