Abstract
Retardation of skeletal growth was observed in rats when the diet contained 0.5% of ethionine. The animals were maintained on this diet for periods of one to two months. The changes in the tibial epiphyses consisted of decrease in thickness of the cartilage and blunting, shortening and decrease in number of bony trabeculae. Keywords
