Abstract
It is found that the statistical model accounts rather well for the absolute cross sections measured recently for the reaction (, ) at MeV and for the integrated yields observed in the + reaction at MeV. These results demonstrate that compound-nucleus formation followed by the emission of complex particles such as or occurs with sizable cross sections in these reactions.
