Abstract
The intramuscular administration of 3 mg of estradiol benzoate to male rabbits resulted in a significant increase in urethral secretion. On histological examination of the urethra, the number of cells with active nuclei increased in relation to the cells with pyknotic nuclei. Significant vacuolization of the protoplasm was also observed as well as polynuclear leucocytes. The intramuscular injection of 10 mg testosterone propionate did not cause any changes in the cytological picture of the rabbit urethra. Keywords
