Abstract
Raman spectra have been measured of NaCl: Ca crystals quenched or cooled slowly from high temperatures. The spectra show significant changes in structure and intensity as a function of heat treatment. The spectra of the quenched crystals are compared with the projected perturbed densities of states. Possible models are discussed in order to explain the observations. Keywords
