Abstract
1,000,000 U. were dissolved in distilled water with or without the addition of epinephrine 1: 1000 and injected subconjunctivally in 30 cases, most of whom had hypopyon formation. The injn. was repeated at intervals of 48 hrs. In the penicillin sensitive cases a response was obtained within 24 hrs. In many cases only 2 injns. were necessary to effect a cure. The results were uniformly good and the degree of corneal scarring minimal. Keywords
