Abstract
The addition of vit. B1 has no significant effect on the O2 uptake of polyneuritic muscle, heart or liver in vitro, but causes a large and statistically significant increase in respiration of polyneuritic kidney. The respiration of the polyneuritic kidney in the presence of lactate is significantly lower than that of the normal kidney; the addition of vit. B1 largely restores this defect. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
