Abstract
The disappearance of T-1824 from the circulation of rabbits was investigated in 62 individual experiments. The results show the following: the rate of disappearance of the dye during the first 28 minutes follows a logarithmic course and is the same for 1- and 5-mg doses. Statistical analysis shows that the mean ratio between the optical densities at 16 and 4 minutes is 0.843, the standard error of the mean, [plus or minus]0.004 and the standard deviation of the distribution, [plus or minus]0.036. By extrapolating to zero time we obtained an average value of 20% for the loss of T-1824 during the first 16 minutes. The important factors influencing the early disappearance are discussed. Keywords
