Superficial Femoral Artery Catheterization

Abstract
Leg length measurements were obtained in 250 congenital heart disease patients who had undergone puncture or incision of the right superficial femoral artery at cardiac catheterization. The data give no indication that the procedure results in a notable discrepancy between the length of the lower extremities. It is concluded that significant inequality in the length of the lower limbs is a rare complication of cardiac catheterization.
