Abstract
The width of the adrenal cortex was measured in autopsy sections in cases grouped as follows; controls (a series of miscellaneous causes of death), lymphatic leukemia, lympho-sarcoma, and hyperthyroidism. No significant differences were found among the first 3 groups. In the cases of hyperthyroidism, however, the adrenal cortices appeared to be significantly narrower than those of the control group. Possible reasons for this difference are discussed. Keywords
