Abstract
To determine formaldehydogenic steroids, the urine was treated with sodium borohydride and then boiled with mineral acid. The extracted steroids were treated with periodic acid and the liberated formaldehyde distilled and determined with chromatrophic acid reagent. After oral administration of cortisone acetate, approximately 40% of the dose was recovered in the urine during the first 24 hours. Keywords
