Abstract
The O2 uptake (Q02) of slices of cerebral cortex and the cholinester-ase activity of homogenates of cerebral hemispheres were detd. in the Warburg apparatus for a group of control rabbits and for rabbits injected intraven. with 0.5 or 1 mg./kg. of diisopropyl fluorophosphate (DFP). DFP had no appreciable effect on the QO2 of cerebral cortex slices of the treated animals even though cholinesterase was completely inhibited. Keywords
