Abstract
The metabolism of isolated tissues was determined in the Warburg apparatus. Thyroxin, injected in vivo, elevated the metabolism of liver tissue 20%, but the metabolism of parasitic tumor tissue in the same animals fell an average of 15%. This reduction was noted in both transplanted sarcoma and carcinoma. Keywords
