Abstract
A compensating automatic ellipsometer that employs Faraday rotators has been constructed. Speed of response and resolution superior to that of any similar instrument now in use have been achieved through novel Faraday solenoid designs, modulation with high frequency and large amplitude, and refinements in circuitry. Keywords
