Abstract
Magnetization reversal of patterned magnetic structure consisting of single and double coupled ultrathin magnetic layers is simulated by solving Landau–Lifshitz equations. Barkhausen’s steps on the magnetization hysteresis loop originating from magnetization lateral edge pinning are predicted and analyzed in dependence on the size of rectangle patterns for Permalloy films. Keywords
