A Devensian glaciomarine sequence in western Islay, Inner Hebrides

Abstract
Synopsis: A sedimentological description is given of three closely spaced exposures of interbedded glacigenic and water-sorted sediments at Kilchiaran, western Islay, Scottish Inner Hebrides. The sediments are considered to be Devensian in age and to have been deposited in a proximal glaciomarine environment. The descriptions are thought to represent the first detailed account of onshore glaciomarine sediments in Scotland.
