Abstract
Magnetic domain patterns of single crystals of yttrium iron garnet have been studied by optical and x‐ray topographic methods. There is good correspondence between optical photographs and x‐ray topographs of domains. A pronounced striation pattern, not observed by transmission optical microscopy is revealed for certain x‐ray reflections. The crystal is otherwise remarkably free of defects. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
