Abstract
Measurements of the production cross sections at large values of transverse momentum () for , , , and in 200 and 300 GeV collisions are presented. The dependences of the cross section on and the transverse scaling variable are discussed. The ratios of production of different particle types, such as , , etc., are given, and are shown to be quite different from those in collisions. Data have been taken at three laboratory angles; the angular dependence is given and compared with theoretical models. Data on three nuclear targets allow an evaluation of the atomic-weight () dependence.
