Abstract
It is suggested that a phenomenological analysis using the impulse approximation of the processes occurring in the scattering of mesons by deuterons may be used to get the phase-shifts for the isotopic spin state. Typical curves are given for the elastic, elastic plus inelastic and charge exchange scattering differential cross sections of 100-Mev mesons by deuterons on the assumption that only -waves contribute and for various ratios of the and isotopic spin states phase shifts.
